Ever since
the invention of the camera strap, keen inventors have come up with better
ways to carry cameras. One I have
used for a couple of years is the Quick Draw Clip System. This is simplicity itself. The clip is made of spring steel and attaches
to your belt. A stud screws into the
camera’s tripod socket, and then clips and unclips from the belt piece with
a simple thumb action by pressing on the spring. It is quick and very secure.
Recently
Quick Draw introduced a simpler plastic system which works the same way, but is
for lighter items like cellular phones.
It could be used with lightweight point-and-shoot cameras, too, as long
as you do not mind permently attaching the the adhesive disk which clips and
unclips from the belt piece. I’ve often
said that I really admire products which are simple, well made, and do what
they claim. Quick Draw’s products are
winners on all counts.
